Why is conformity certification for paint under QCVN 16 necessary?

Process for conformity certification of paint under QCVN 16

Step 1: Receiving enterprise information

The enterprise needs to provide necessary information as required by ISSQ Quality Institute to register for paint certification.

Step 2: Signing the conformity certification contract

ISSQ Quality Institute will prepare the contract based on the information provided by the enterprise.

Step 3: Evaluation

• For domestic manufacturers: the organization will conduct a thorough assessment of production conditions and take samples at the production site or from the market.
• For importers: experts will review shipment documentation and take actual samples from the batch for testing.

Step 4: Issuance of conformity certificate

The conformity certificate for paint under QCVN 16 is valid for approximately 3 years.

Step 5: Surveillance assessment

The enterprise must undergo two surveillance assessments within 3 years to maintain the validity of the certificate.
