What is SA 8000?

SA8000 is a standard that sets out requirements for social responsibility management, issued by the Council on Economic Priorities Accreditation Agency in 1997.

This is an international standard developed to improve working conditions worldwide.

The standard is based on conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

This standard can be applied in both industrialized and developing countries and is suitable for large corporations as well as small businesses.
